Types of contact lenses we offer

We offer a full range of contact lens options to fit your individual needs. Here’s a look at what’s available for ClearSight EyeCare patients:

Orthokeratology contact lenses

Orthokeratology, or ortho-k, is a non-surgical approach to vision correction that works while you sleep. You wear specially designed lenses overnight that gently reshape the cornea, so you wake up with clearer vision — no glasses or daytime contacts needed. Ortho-k is a great choice for those who aren’t candidates for refractive surgery or simply prefer a contact-free day. Ortho-k is also a proven option for myopia management, making it ideal for children whose eyes are still developing.

Rigid gas permeable contact lenses

Rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses are durable plastic lenses that allow oxygen to flow through to the cornea. Unlike soft lenses, RGP lenses maintain their shape with each blink, delivering sharper, more precise vision. They’re an excellent option for people with moderate to severe astigmatism, keratoconus, corneal scarring, or other conditions that affect corneal shape.

Scleral contact lenses

Scleral lenses are larger than traditional contacts and rest on the sclera (the white part of the eye) rather than directly on the cornea. This design makes them noticeably more comfortable and provides exceptional visual clarity, especially for those with irregular corneas. Scleral lenses are also highly effective for managing chronic dry eye and severe allergic conjunctivitis.

Multifocal contact lenses

As we age, it’s common to notice that close-up tasks like reading or checking a phone become harder. This is a condition known as presbyopia, and it often develops on top of an existing prescription. Multifocal contact lenses address both at once, offering clear vision at multiple distances without the need for reading glasses.

Toric contact lenses

Astigmatism occurs when the cornea isn’t perfectly round, making it difficult for the eye to focus light clearly. Toric lenses are designed specifically to correct this. Their unique shape compensates for the irregular curvature of the cornea, delivering crisp, stable vision throughout the day.

Cosmetic contact lenses

Ready for a new look? Cosmetic contact lenses let you change or enhance your eye color for a subtle or dramatic effect. Colored contact lenses are available with or without a vision prescription, but they always require a professional fitting to avoid complications.

Monovision contact lenses

Monovision is another effective option for presbyopia. One eye is fitted for distance vision and the other for near vision, so you can see clearly at all distances without reading glasses.
